VARIODYN D1 - Digital Audio System (Plug&Play)
PA/VA systems can simply be connected over a plug without explicit wiring. This is the first instance of voice alarm systems running over LANs and WANs.
The usage of standard ethernet equipment and existing wiring gives rise to a very efficient and simple installation process.
VARIODYN D1 Designer - Planning and Configuration Software
VARIODYN D1 Designer is a software which makes the configuration and planning of voice alarm systems very simple. The systems can optionally bu merged and fully configured.
DOM - Digital Output Module
DOM is VARIODYN D1's central control component.
DOM units are equipped with 4 independent outputs, used to control 4 separate amplifier channels. DOM4-8 can be used to operate up to 8 loops and DOM4-24 can be used to operate up to 24 loops.
All of the amplifiers are controlled independently by the DOM. In the case that a single amplifier breaks down, a substitute amplifier starts operating. The speaker cables are continuously checked against any cuts in operation.
DOM has a dedicated memory of up to 260 seconds for previously recorded notifications.
The automatic loudness regulator (ALR) can be used to regulate the loudness of multiple amplifiers.
Power Amplifier 2x250, 2x500
Power Amplifiers are controlled by DOM modules. In case that a cooling device is overheated, the energy transmitted to this channel is interrupted until the heat of the device is back to normal.
UIM - Universal Interface Module
The Universal Interface Module (UIM), is used to connect the voice alarm system to 2 analog audio outputs and 48 control switches.
In case of short-circuit and interruption, 8 of the switches can be controlled and the system may be recovered. UIM can convert the analog signals conveyed over the 2 analog inputs to digital signals and transmits them to the DOM over the DAL data bus.
DCS - Digital Control Units
The Digital Control Units, DCS 15 and DCS 2 can be used along with the digital key module DKM 18 to interrupt the voice alarm system for announcements or gongs.
The announcement unit is connected to a free data bus of the DOM over a standard Cat5 cable. All of the sound and control signals are emitted digitally.
It can be used to establish communication with other announcement stations with its integrated speaker.
